Grocery Gab Part I


I recently came across this blog post, which I thought made some great points in demonstrating the differences in price between conventional and organic foods – even though there are no differences nutritionally or in safety!

Choices are important, I couldn’t agree more.  Especially when it comes to food! I’m not a picky eater, but I am conscious of what I put in my body and how my body might respond.

While I was venturing through the produce section on my most recent trip to the grocery store, I caught myself saying “thank goodness I don’t often eat organic produce,” when I noticed how much higher the prices were for organic produce vs. conventionally grown (again, this doesn’t mean GMOs). As a twenty-something gal, I’m looking for the BEST foods to fuel my body at the best price possible. (Before we dive into the details, I would like to state that I am not opposed to organic food. I am simply PRO- safe & nutritious FOOD. I myself eat both organic and conventional foods and I respect friends, family and society for eating what they like best. I simply want to…
